Language Accommodations

  • Foreign Language maps are available in the Front Lobby. Maps are available in: Chinese (Mandarin), Chinese (Taiwanese), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese.


  • All experiences inside the museum and within WildWoods are ADA accessible. However, due to the natural terrain of Fernbank Forest, most of the forest trails are not ADA accessible nor is the Forest Connection trail.
  • A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available for guests needing assistance. Please ask a Fernbank staff member for assistance getting a wheelchair upon arrival.
  • A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available in the museum’s main parking lot. A guest drop off/pickup area is located near the main entrance.
  • The Lobby entrance to the Giant Screen Theater is wheelchair accessible. Please see a theater attendant to locate one of the six accessible spaces in the theater.
  • Elevators can be found to the right of the main museum entrance.


  • All-gender, private restrooms are available on the Upper Level of the museum outside of the Naturalist Center. (Specific locations noted on Visitor Map)

Service Animals

  • Service animals are welcome in the museum, WildWoods, and Fernbank Forest. Please identify your service animal to museum staff upon arrival.
