T. rex: The Ultimate Predator

On view June 13 – Sept. 7, 2026

Sink Your Teeth into the Secrets of The Mesozoic's Most Fearsome Carnivore

Come face-to-jaws with the famous Tyrannosaurus rex in the new exhibit, T. rex: The Ultimate Predator. Meet the entire Tyrannosaur family and learn the truth about the most iconic dinosaur in the world through life-sized models, specimens and engaging interactives.

Explore how a T. rex grows from a small, fluffy, turkey-sized hatchling into a towering, bone-crushing apex predator as an adult. Discover how these animals lived and evolved through fossil casts and models, including a life-sized model of a T. rex and reconstructions of a juvenile T. rex. Guests can experiment with a “roar mixer” to better understand what a T. rex may have sounded like, enjoy an immersive shadow theater where a full-scale skeleton springs to life, and interact with a life-sized animation of T. rex that responds to visitors’ movements.

Whether you’re a lifelong dinosaur fan or a first-time explorer, this unforgettable exhibit brings the king of dinosaurs roaring back to life.

T. rex: The Ultimate Predator is sponsored locally by the Frances Wood Wilson Foundation.
