Warmer weather is near, and so are exciting new exhibits, events, films and more at Fernbank!
AN EIGHT-LEGGED ADVENTURE: The new special exhibit, Spiders — From Fear to Fascination, continues into its second month of educating guests all about arachnids. Featuring 250 live and preserved specimens, as well as digital interactives and dioramas, guests will learn all about these often-misunderstood creatures. Read more about the exhibit here.
FLY HIGH: Beginning March 23, the outdoor exhibit Flora, Fauna & Flight will reopen along the paths in WildWoods. Walk among larger-than-life sculptures of butterflies, dandelions, bees, flying fish and more to learn all about how these plants and animals defy gravity. Read more about the exhibit here.
ADULTS ONLY AFTER HOURS: Become one with nature and explore the elements during Fernbank After Dark from 7 – 11 p.m. on Friday, March 8. This event also includes special access to the whole museum, including Spiders — From Fear to Fascination, themed activities, music, cocktails and more. Get tickets here.
ONE COOL FILM: Bundle up in the Giant Screen Theater for our newest film, “The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness,” opening Feb. 27. You can learn more about the film here. Then, when you’re looking to continue your Arctic expedition outside of Fernbank, here are some ideas.
