As the year winds down, Fernbank is ramping up to end 2023 with a slew of exciting exhibits, events and more.
WildWoods: AGLOW is back and better than ever going into the second month of its second year. Explore 10-acres of WildWoods as you’ve never seen them before! As the sun goes down, we invite you to walk among immersive lights and strategically composed music of WildWoods: AGLOW. This nighttime experience highlights the unique flora and fauna found only at Fernbank in a magically stunning way. View the WildWoods: AGLOW dates here.
Speaking of WildWoods: AGLOW adults 21 and over will have their chance to explore this wonderland of biodiversity in a kid-free environment at Fernbank After Dark: Cocktails and Candy Canes! This adults-only (21 and older) event will have the entire museum open after hours and fill it with fun experiments and themed cocktails – perfect for a night out with your adult friends and significant others. Grab your tickets here.
Our special exhibit, Vikings: Warriors of the Sea, is entering its last full month at Fernbank. Don’t miss out on this chance to explore real Viking artifacts in person and ultimately decide for yourself just how ruthless (or sadly misunderstood) the Viking people were. You can also enhance your Viking experience with some tips from our October Things to Do blog post here.
The holiday season is in full swing, and so is our favorite holiday exhibit, Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World. Discover two floors of beautifully decorated trees and display cases that tell stories of different cultures’ traditions and celebrations from countries such as Kenya, Japan, India, Mexico, Sweden and more. This exhibit is open for daytime exploration, as well as for nighttime visitors when attending WildWoods: AGLOW! You can learn more about Winter Wonderland here.
