Where golden hour meets happy hour, Fernbank will be open LATER this summer for a special series of events. After work and after hours, LATER includes all the great indoor exhibit discoveries and outdoor nature explorations...plus exclusive activities and unique experiences to help amp up the weekend fun factor. Adult beverages for the 21+ crowd, Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Credit cards only. See you LATER!
Summer Series
Grand Slam Science
Friday, June 27, 2025, 6 – 9 p.m.
Unite the culture of team spirit with the science of sports! Come ready to play as we host a variety of science activities and some of Atlanta’s favorite sports teams, including the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Vibe, Georgia Swarm and Gwinnett Stripers. Test your vertical leap, throw out your fastest pitch, enjoy photo ops and more! Extra points if you are dressed in team spirit. Stadium snacks and beverages available for purchase, including beer and cocktails for 21+. In addition to special activities, guests can enjoy the nature trails in WildWoods and all museum exhibits, including the special exhibits Turtles and Spirit Guides: Fantastical Creatures from the Workshop of Jacobo and María Ángeles.
