An Atlanta Thanksgiving Break is Spent at Fernbank
NIGHTTIME MAGIC — Spend an evening after hours in WildWoods: AGLOW, where you’ll be immersed into the mesmerizing wonders of nature through glowing displays, projections and musical scores uniquely curated to highlight the native wildlife in WildWoods.
A RETURNING HOLIDAY FAVORITE — The seasonal special exhibit, Winter Wonderland, reopens for its 15th year just in time for Thanksgiving break. Explore the celebrations and traditions that take place around the world through decorated trees and display cases representing countries such as Argentina, Canada, Germany, Norway, India and more.
EXPLORE THE EXHIBITS — In addition to Winter Wonderland, explore our other special exhibits currently open: Armored Animals, where you can experience an immersive tour through the last 500 million years of armor evolution, and Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration, where you can discover the art and science behind the color yellow.
CATCH A FILM — Take a break from walking around the museum and see a movie in our Giant Screen Theater. Learn a new side of the iconic dinosaur in T. REX or travel through time and discover exciting innovations in engineering in Cities of the Future.
DAILY WONDERS — Our education team provides daily experiences almost every day that makes your Fernbank visit even more unique. These programs can include meeting a ranger, encountering a live animal, learning about dinosaurs and more. You can see which programs are happening during your visit by checking the digital signs around the museum or checking the online calendar here.
Fernbank is a nonprofit natural history museum, giant screen theater and old-growth forest, and is not affiliated with Fernbank Science Center, which operates as a division of DeKalb County Schools.
