This winter break, whether you’re looking for a fun way to incorporate learning when school’s out or for a unique place to take visiting family, Fernbank is your answer. Continue reading below to see what’s in store this season!
NATURE AT NIGHT — On select evenings is WildWoods: AGLOW, an outdoor, nighttime experience unlike anything else in Atlanta. Immerse yourself in this after-hours experience and be mesmerized by a blend of the environment and glowing displays curated to highlight the nature found in WildWoods.
LAST CHANCES — There are only a few more chances to see Armored Animals and Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration before they both close at the beginning of January. Broaden your horizons by learning about the last 500 million years of armor evolution and the art and science behind the color yellow all in one trip.
‘TIS THE SEASON — Take a trip around the world when you view Winter Wonderland on Fernbank’s second and third floors. View ornately decorated trees and displays that recognize celebrations, events and traditions from more than 30 cultural partners.
THE (GIANT) SILVER SCREEN — Catch one of two films in the Giant Screen Theater that are playing daily. Travel through time, whether it be forward in Cities of the Future or backward in T. REX, and learn something new.
