Fernbank Lights Up for November

It’s November in Atlanta, which means it’s finally starting to get cooler, the air is getting crisper and Fernbank  is getting ready to give you a month full of fun exhibits, events and more.  

1. The special exhibit, Vikings: Warriors of the Sea, is in full swing as we head into the second month of hosting this culturally explorative exhibit. If you want to learn how to enhance your Viking experience, check out last month’s blog post here.  

2. Opening this month is Fernbank’s annual holiday experience, Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World. Starting Nov. 18, you’ll be able to walk among two floors of beautifully decorated trees and display cases that highlight not only popular holidays, like Christmas and Hanukkah, but also other secular and nonsecular traditions and celebrations that take place around the globe. 3. The highlight of November at Fernbank is the opening of WildWoods: AGLOW for its second season. Join us on select evenings starting Nov. 10 to explore a nighttime wonderland of nature, beauty, music and light. Access to WildWoods: AGLOW will also be included during Fernbank After Dark, which is the second Friday of every month. Learn more about WildWoods: AGLOW dates here.

4. And as the seasons change, use this time to take a stroll through WildWoods and Fernbank Forest to witness the leaves changing color.
