STEAM Camp: Vikings Edition

Discover Vikings through STEAM! Campers, ages 5-10, will travel back in time to explore Viking science, technology and culture. Alongside Fernbank educators, campers will play games, create crafts, and learn with exciting, hands-on activities.

Camps include games, activities, and crafts centered around the theme of each day:

• Viking Science: Campers will embark on a journey exploring science as the Vikings once did and how we know about them today! Activities include exploring ecosystems and archeological dig pits.
• Technology and Engineering: Campers will discover how Vikings revolutionized technology and engineering! Activities may include ship building and ocean navigation.
• The Math and Art of the Vikings: Campers will discover how math and art are used in and inspired by Vikings. Activities include exploring map making and Norse folktales.

Specific activities are subject to change without notice.

Ages: STEAM Camp is available for ages 5-10. Your camper must be within this range by the first day of camp.

Registration: Registration opens Monday, October 2nd   at 12 noon

Cost: $200

for members; $250 for non-members.

Hours: Fernbank’s STEAM Camp runs Monday through Wednesday from 9am to 4pm.

Pre-Care: Pre-Care is available from 8:15 am to 9:00am and costs $10 per day or $25 for the week. Only full-week Pre-Care registration is available online. Single-day Pre-Care registration will be available on-site during camp.

After-Care: After-Care is available from 4:00pm to 5:30pm and costs $10 per day or $25 for the week. Only full-week After-Care registration is available online. Single-day After-Care registration will be available on-site during camp.

Cancellation Policy:

• A $50 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations.
• The deadline to receive a refund for cancellation is Friday, November 10, 2023. After November 17, 2023 no refunds will be issued for cancellations.
• If minimum enrollment is not met, we reserve the right to cancel a camp session and issue a full refund.
• Refunds will not be given for campers who miss camp days due to illness, including COVID.
