Fernbank Forest
Enjoy a guided hike through Fernbank Forest as dusk descends and evening falls. The Evening Hike will celebrate the ecosystem of the old-growth forest. Topics vary each time and may include nocturnal animals, insects, spiders and more.
Cost: $10 for members/$20 for nonmembers
General admission not included.
Things to know before you visit:
- Hikes take place rain or shine, except in the event of hazardous weather. Be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly.
- The hike is two hours long, weather permitting. Hikes begin about one hour before sunset and end one hour after sunset.
- The forest terrain is uneven and steep at times. Trails are not ADA accessible.
- This hike is not suitable for strollers.
- In case of inclement weather or not receiving the minimum number of registrations, Fernbank reserves the right to cancel the hike. Fernbank will call and email registered participants by noon the day prior to the scheduled hike to alert guests to the cancellation and issue a refund.
