Tickets are not timed, which allows guests to arrive any time between 10am and 4pm. Fernbank closes at 5pm. Giant screen films are offered first-come, first-served and will be available for seating 15 minutes prior to each showtime. Please visit the theater entrance via the Star Gallery on Lower Level for entry.
A: CityPASS® admission is considered pre-reserved so guests should present their CityPASS® mobile ticket for scanning at the box office when they arrive. No separate reservation is required but your pass must be scanned for entry. Learn more about saving 44% off admission with Atlanta CityPASS®.
A. Yes, members need to make advanced reservations to expedite check-in and bypass the ticket purchase line.
A. In accordance with CDC guidelines, face coverings are encouraged but not required. You may purchase disposable face coverings at the box office for $1.
A. If you cannot attend during the date or time of your reservation, please cancel your reservation by emailing guest.services@fernbankmuseum.org or by calling 404.929.6400. A transfer fee may apply. There are no refunds
A. Weekday afternoons from 2pm – 5pm are the best times to visit if you prefer off-peak hours. During holidays and school breaks, we often see a larger volume of guests throughout the day, but afternoons would likely still be less busy than mornings.
A. A film in the Giant Screen Theater is included as part of your general admission ticket, on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests can arrive at the theater entrance 15 minutes before each show time to be admitted. One movie is included with general admission per visit If you would like to see more than one film, you can purchase additional tickets at the theater entrance for $5 each.
A: You can join online from anywhere, but it's best to join or renew before you arrive at Fernbank for quicker entry. Memberships are active immediately.

If this is your first time reserving online tickets, you will need to register your account. To help with this process, we have created these step-by-step instructions. Please make sure all adults and caregivers are aware of this policy. In order to receive free admission tickets, reservations must be made under one of the primary members’ names.
A: Gift tickets and member guest passes need to be redeemed in person at the Box Office.
A: The Fernbank Café and Museum Store are available for light fare (sandwiches, pizza, snacks, drinks, etc.) and shopping (gifts, souvenirs, plush toys, dinosaur merchandise, games, books, fossils, etc.). Dining tables are available inside the café and on the outdoor terrace for food purchased in the Fernbank Cafe. We accept credit or debit cards only. We do not accept cash.
