We are ready for blast-off! Join our mission to discover space, astronomy and how scientists learn about our universe through crafts, games and hands-on activities.

Ongoing Activities*

Coloring & Maze Station
Have fun coloring the Mars Science Laboratory mission's Curiosity rover and solving space puzzles.  

Filtered Light
See space objects in a new and colorful light.

Georgia Institute of Technology Ramblin’ Rocket Club
Create and launch your own paper rocket and see rockets from Georgia Tech’s collection.

Meteorite Display and Constellation Tubes
Discover pieces of real meteorites and use constellation tubes to test your star knowledge.  

Planet Sun Catchers
Use coffee filters to create otherworldly sun catchers. 

Planetary Weight Experiment
Discover how weight changes throughout the solar system.

Stomp Rockets
Test your rocket power to see how high you can make a spacecraft fly.

Tadpole Tales
11:30am, Naturalist Center
Preschoolers will learn about the planets in our solar system in this story time and activity session with a Fernbank Educator.

Cost: Included with Museum admission. Members free.
