Lunch Information

Due to the current health crisis, groups are temporarily prohibited from bringing food into the museum.  Groups that bring their lunch must eat their lunch before or after their visit to Fernbank.

Order Lunch: To order lunch through the Fernbank Cafe, submit a completed form at least 2 weeks prior to your visit.

Bringing Your Lunch: Lunches should be stored on the bus. Please notify security when you are ready to eat so trash cans can be made available. All lunches should be disposed of properly. Groups are responsible for their own food quality. Fernbank will not supply additional coolers or food prep areas.

Where to Eat: Your group may enjoy lunch picnic style on the front lawn or Dinosaur Plaza. We ask that you do not sit on the front steps. No food or drink (other than water) is permitted in WildWoods or Fernbank Forest. Groups are responsible for their own clean up. Please dispose of all trash/recyclable materials in the containers provided.

Museum Store

Schedule time in your itinerary to visit the Museum Store. Students can discover fun and educational souvenirs like fossils, magnets, science books and kits. Students can enter in groups of 10 at a time with a chaperone. If time doesn’t permit a visit to the store, pre-purchase Nature Packs appropriate for pre-K through 5th grade for only $3 per person. To order, submit a completed form at least 2 weeks prior to your visit.
