STEAM-Powered Communities
STEAM-Powered Communities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is a Fernbank initiative designed to improve science proficiency and help create a more equitable education pipeline by bridging family, school and extracurricular experiences.
This education initiative includes an onsite STEAM Lab, Science Explorers, Fernbank on the Go! and the expansion of science and arts programming.
STEAM-Powered Communities will broaden the arena for students to integrate science, technology, engineering and math with the arts and humanities through creativity and ingenuity so students are equipped to succeed in school and beyond.
Fernbank is a nonprofit natural history museum, giant screen theater and old-growth forest, and is not affiliated with Fernbank Science Center, which operates as a division of DeKalb County Schools.
