Virtual Thanksgiving Break Camp   

November 23 – 25, 2020  

Explore fall fun with Fernbank’s Virtual Thanksgiving Break Camp for ages 5-10. Through a mixture of live Zoom sessions and self-guided, hands-on activities, your camper will discover why birds migrate, how the seasons change and how traditions pass from generation to generation. Alongside Fernbank educators, campers will play games, create crafts and dive into the wonders of autumn. 

Virtual camps include games, activities, and crafts centered around the theme of each day 

  • Bird DayCampers will celebrate our feathered friends just in time for Turkey Day! Activities may include flying high through the migration game and investigating bird beak adaptations.  
  • Changing Seasons Day: Campers will explore the changes in Fernbank Forest and around the world as fall creates the bridge between summer and winter. Activities may include crafting decorative trees for all four seasons and investigating climates across the globe.  
  • Indigenous People DayCampers will examine the importance of music and oral traditions across various Indigenous American cultures, from early colonization to modern day. Campers will create their own music and identify and share their own traditions and what they learn from them  

Fernbank’s Virtual Thanksgiving Break Camp runs Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 25 from 9:30am to 2:30pm. Activities are subject to change without notice.  

Registration: Member registration opens October 19. Non-member registration opens October 26. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and space sells out quickly.

Cost: $150 for members; $175 for non-members.  

Cancellation policy: After November 13, 2020, no refunds will be issued. A $50 non-refundable administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations.
