DINO-Mite Adventures ALL SUMMER!

Turn summer into a DINO-MITE experience at Fernbank Museum. Learn more about the prehistoric stars of Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, from dinosaurs to flying reptiles, through immersive exhibits, unique opportunities and self-guided activities.

Special Summertime 2022 Activities:

• Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family stomps into Fernbank on June 11 and is bringing a slew of activities with them for a Dino-Mite Summer that you’ll want to take a bite out of!
• Dinosaur Birthday Bash takes place on August 20 for a rawr-some dinosaur party in celebration of Giants of the Mesozoic’s 20th anniversary, complete with a visit from our special guest dino friend, Giggy!
• Take a step inside to beat the summer heat and view our Giant Screen Film, Dinosaurs of Antarctica! Brave the arctic tundra to unearth dinosaur secrets long-since frozen in time. Welcome to the lost prehistoric world of Gondwana. 
• Join us for a dino-themed after hours event! Fernbank After Dark: Bones and Brews invites guests to dig up the dirt on dinos on August 12 from 7pm - 11pm. Alcoholic beverages and food available for purchase.

Daily Activities:

• Start your visit in the Dinosaur Plaza and say hello to a trio of Lophorhothon atopus, a species that once lived in the region that is now Georgia.
• Keep an eye out for T. rex while you get a glimpse of life during the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods in the Dinosaur Gallery of A Walk Through Time in Georgia.
• Step into prehistoric Patagonia in Giants of the Mesozoic and stand in awe of the 123-foot-long, plant-eating Argentinosaurus and the 47-foot-long, meat-eating Giganotosaurus. Look up and you’ll see two different species of pterosaurs soaring overhead.
• Enjoy a prehistoric photo opp on the museum’s terrace (near the WildWoods entrance) with Stegosaurus, one of the most recognized dinosaurs due to the distinctive spikes and bony plates along its back.
