This June, Fernbank invites you to join us for a turtle-ly spectacular day celebrating some of the world’s slowest animals from our newest exhibit, Survival of the Slowest. Come hang out and have a fur-real fun time with a variety of themed crafts and activities!

Tai Chi on the Terrace
Slow down with Shifu Gary Mitchell of the Chien Hong School of Kung Fu on Fernbank’s beautiful Terrace overlooking WildWoods.
Tai Chi is available at 9:30 a.m. , 10:15 a.m. , 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Animal Encounters | Frances Wood Wilson Foundation Theater
Meet our amazingly slow animal ambassadors at 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Turtled-up-in-Twine
Unleash your inner artist and create turtle-themed twine art.
Turtle Toss
Get competitive with this turtle-ly fun version of the classic game, corn hole.
Sloth Crowns
Channel the slow with this fur-real adorable sloth crown.
Slow and Fast Plant Adaptations
Put on your best thinking cap and explore why some plants grow faster than others.
Gastropod Prints

Atlanta Track and Field Zone | Terrace
Get speedy with our friends from the Atlanta Track Club in their special Track and Field Zone

Parking is limited at Fernbank and may not be available. Please be prepared to potentially park offsite and walk, or consider using public transportation or ride share. Directions to additional offsite parking.
