Ignite your curiosity for space at Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Join us for a day of science demonstrations, cosmic crafts, intergalactic exhibits and more! Climb aboard for a closer look into our solar system and beyond.

Forces of Flight

Explore the forces of flight that help rockets get to space with stomp launchers!

Trek Across Our Solar System
Terrace, Lower Level
Join Flint River Astronomy Club on a journey across our vast solar system! This solar system scale model is scaled to 3/4 of a mile and winds through Fernbank Forest. Trek along the trails to discover just how far away the planets are from the sun. Guided walks take place at the top of each hour.    *

Engineering Challenge: The Sky is Not the Limit

Calling all creatives! Come design and build your very own space tool . Whether it be a telescope, rover or something of your own design, we are excited to see what your imagination comes up with! Recommended for guests five years and older.
