EcoSphere®
The Perfect Balance of Science and Art
EcoSphere® is a totally enclosed ecosystem. Inside each EcoSphere® are active micro-organisms, bright red shrimp, algae and snails each existing in a clear “soup” of filtered water. EcoSphere® is a self-sustaining ecosystem; so you never have to feed the life within.
Light provides energy to both the algae and invisible bacteria living in each EcoSphere®, which are eaten by the shrimp who receive oxygen from the system’s plants. The animals’ carbon dioxide and wastes support the algae and bacteria.
EcoSpheres® have an average life expectancy of two to seven years. Each is backed by a six-month or one year replacement policy, depending on size.
