Did you know one bat can eat up to 1,000 mosquito-sized insects in one night? Join Fernbank educators and a local bat expert from the Georgia Bat Working Group to learn about the importance of bats in our ecosystem and build a bat house for your home. Program fees include bat house materials, instructions and bat conservation presentation.
Important: This workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up; participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please see our list of guidelines to help you make the most of this program. This program will be held rain or shine, but may be adjusted in the event of severe weather. All participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing.
