Green Living | Kennesaw State University
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Discover green living in an interactive, sustainable house and city.

Native Wildflower Seed Balls
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Native plants help maintain an ecosystem’s health and biodiversity. Make a seed ball to plant at home to keep your yard or garden healthy.

Build-a-Bug Craft
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Use recyclable materials to create your own invertebrate creature.

Nature Journals
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Use this biodegradable journal to record your findings in WildWoods and Fernbank Forest.

iNaturalist
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Become a citizen scientist as you explore the inhabitants of Fernbank’s campus and record your observations in this smartphone app.

Nature Explorations
11am – 1pm, Kendeda Pavilion
Explore nature through ecologically-focused activities to learn about sustainability and conservation. Drop-in program.

Nature Walks**
11am, 1pm, 2pm, Kendeda Pavilion
Get a closer look at nature and learn how to identify native plants in WildWoods and Fernbank Forest during this hour-long program. Weather permitting.

Treetop Tales
11:45am, Kendeda Pavilion
Preschoolers will enjoy Fernbank’s outdoor program featuring the story, An Earthworm’s Life, by John Himmelman.

Salamander Station
12pm – 2pm, Elephant Rock Shelter, Fernbank Forest
Get up close with wild salamanders and discover the creatures that call Fernbank Forest home.
