Boy Scouts are invited to explore Fernbank and work toward Scout requirements during this special programming day. Drop-in activities include hands-on discovery stations and nature-themed scavenger hunts. Activities are aligned with badge requirements for Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelo Scouts.*
Look for these special mobile stations in the Great Hall or WildWoods and learn more about natural history through hands-on activities. (Locations vary carts will move throughout the day.)
WildWoods and Fernbank Forest
Embark on a nature adventure through self-guided tours of WildWoods and Fernbank Forest.
Boy Scout Day Scavenger Hunt
Discovery many of nature’s features this special scavenger hunt. (Located on the back of event program.)
Live Animal Encounter
11am and 2pm Naturalist Center
Get up close and personal with a member of Fernbank’s live animal collection.
Excellent Experiments Live Science Show
3pm, Naturalist Center
Explore the amazing world of environmental chemistry through fun experiments.
