Earn your wings with Fernbank Museum scientists during this family-friendly (ages 10+) beginner birding program. Guests will learn to identify commonly-spotted bird species native to the Georgia Piedmont before practicing those new skills during a birding tour of Fernbank Forest. Program lasts approximately 2 hours.
Participants are reminded to dress for the weather and bring binoculars and water with them for this outdoor program. Suitable for ages 10 and up. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Holiday Hours Notice: Fernbank Museum will be closed Thursday, November 23 for Thanksgiving and Monday, December 25 for Christmas. On Sunday, December 31, 2017, Fernbank Museum will open at 12:30pm due to the Museum’s ticketed family event, Noon Year’s Eve. The Giant Screen Theater resumes its normal schedule at 1pm.
