Dinosaur Birthday Party Packages are a Roaring Good Time
at Fernbank Museum of Natural History
ATLANTA—It’s not exactly a new discovery, but Fernbank Museum of Natural History has confirmed that kids love dinosaurs. And with that, they love dinosaur-themed birthday parties. Now it’s easier for parents to give their child the (prehistoric) world on their big day with Fernbank Museum’s Dinosaur Birthday Party Packages.
As Atlanta’s home to dinosaurs, Fernbank Museum of Natural History offers an incredible setting for any child’s special day with private accommodations for up to two hours in one of the Museum’s conference rooms. Birthday party packages also include day-long* Museum admission for 10 adults and 10 children, giving partygoers access to discover all of Fernbank’s dinosaurs, pterosaurs and prehistoric fossils, as well as the numerous other exhibitions and features at the Museum. Children certainly won’t want to miss the world’s largest dinosaurs, which are featured in the permanent exhibition Giants of the Mesozoic. (Parents who plan in advance will want to take advantage of the opportunity to visit the upcoming special exhibition Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries, which will be included in Birthday Party Packages from February 14-August 16, 2009.)
Just like the dinosaurs of the Mesozoic Era, the birthday child will rule the day with a VIP seat in the special Dinosaur Birthday Throne, a can’t miss announcement of who reigns supreme at the birthday party. Measuring five feet tall, the red Dinosaur Birthday Throne is painted with dinosaur imagery and is always a “big” hit among children. The birthday child will also receive a Fernbank T-shirt, and all children at the party leave with Fernbank Museum goodie bags. Fernbank also provides free downloadable party activities, including games and puzzles, at fernbankmuseum.org.
For an extra special party, add-on options are available, including the five-story experience of an IMAX® film. Animal Encounters can also be scheduled with Fernbank educators on weekends, allowing children ages 5 and up the opportunity to come face to face with amphibians, giant bugs and reptiles.
Children’s Birthday Parties are available in the Conference Rooms at Fernbank Museum of Natural History daily from noon to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on a space-available basis. Package prices start $200 for Museum members and $300 for non-members. Animals Encounters, IMAX® screenings and lunch are not included in the package price, but can be added at an additional rate.
