F.U.N.

The Fernbank Ultimate Naturalist program, also known as the FUN volunteer program, is an opportunity for youth ages 13-17 to be directly involved public events at Fernbank Museum. FUN volunteers staff discovery carts that teach museum visitors about dinosaurs, ancient sea life and archaeology. FUN volunteers also assist with special family event days, assist with educational programming and help with other special projects. FUN volunteers also attend educational and social events at the Museum, and have an opportunity to visit behind the scenes.

Get Involved

  • FUN volunteers must commit to the program for a minimum of one year and provide a minimum of 45 hours of service to the Museum.
  • The 2013 - 2014 FUN team is full and we are no longer accepting applications. Information regarding the June 2014 - May 2015 program will be available in February 2014.
