You’re invited to a celebration honoring the 1st anniversary of Fernbank NatureQuest. Join us for a day of nature-themed activities.

Scheduled Activities*

Nature’s Heroes
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Join local organizations to learn more about nature and the natural habitats around us. Educators from Trees Atlanta, My Reptile Guys, Warnell School of Forestry and West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) will be on-hand to answer questions and educate guests about the wild natural world!

Nature Journals
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Join volunteers from Fernbank Museum to learn about and create your own nature journal to take home with you. 

Be A Scientist Activity Cards
10am – 5pm, Fernbank NatureQuest
Experience Fernbank NatureQuest in a whole new way using these special activity cards. Explore the exhibitions’ many ecosystems as a marine biologist, geologist, ecologist, archaeologist, wildlife biologist, or botanist. 

Challenge Cards
10am – 5pm, Fernbank NatureQuest
Discover a new way to look at nature in the exhibition. Look down. Can you identify the footprints you see? Look up! What’s in that tree? Pick up a Challenge Card for special challenges to complete while exploring Fernbank NatureQuest.

Use this family guide to discover nature-based activities in Fernbank’s permanent exhibitions.

Live Animal Show with My Reptile Guys
11am, Wildlife Rescue Theater
Join My Reptile Guys to learn more about their amazing reptiles! (Limited seating; show approximately 25 minutes.)

Storytelling
Noon, Auditorium
Join for exciting tales about the natural world with Rob Cleveland, Fernbank's storyteller-in-residence. (Limited seating.)

Bands, Feathers, Flamingos and More from Zoo Atlanta’s Bird Department
1pm, 2pm, Wildlife Rescue Theater
Join staff from Zoo Atlanta as they share stories and biofacts from their many projects around the world. (Limited seating; shows approximately 30 minutes.)

Cost: All Wild About: Nature activities are included with Museum admission and are free for members.
